Really Rural Website design brief

Their experienced and qualified instructors, can arrange activities to suit beginners and pros alike. They deliver activities throughout Herefordshire, Worcestershire and beyond.
Really Rural are an exciting adventure company, and a family run business. They used lockdown as an opportunity to get themselves ready for a busy season ahead when activities once again opened up. They wanted a complete rebrand, a new contemporary and bespoke logo, and an exciting, logical and professional website. They wanted to use the colour orange as the main theme colour.
How I developed the website
I really enjoyed developing the logo alongside Richard and Nikki, as we explored the different activities that they offered and simplified these into a modern logo. The final logo represented various things depending on how you looked at it – a tent, a hill, a fire. It overlaid beautifully on top of the video compilation of fire, walking and bushcraft.
A warm grey was important to match to the orange, and set off the images of the activities. the website moves playfully and logically though the different activities, showing in grid format all the different avenues for each activity, and opening up pop-up windows featuring all the details, without instantly cluttering each page with unnecessary information.
Clients are able to purchase certain experiences directly from the site, as well as some natural products and gift vouchers for activities. I enjoyed also creating the vouchers to match the new branding.
